What Inspires Me

It’s a simple fact that we gain confidence, courage, and joy (in life and work) when we have people who are inspiring us.

I’m thrilled to introduce you to four women who inspire me to live more creatively, more courageously, and more authentically.

We all have that friend who beats to her own drum and is too busy creating her own path to worry about what everyone else is doing.

This is how I’ve always known
Heidi Merrick to be.

Herself. Not concerned about the way others are doing it. Simply focused on her style, her way, her vision.

We’ve known one another our entire lives, and though our lives rarely intersect anymore, I watch, and am inspired by, Heidi as she continues to be herself in an industry that seems to reward those who do things the way everyone else (in NYC or Paris or Milan) is doing them.

Heidi inspires me to remember that joy-filled living happens when I let go of the expectations of others and stay true to my values and my path.

When it’s time to chase down the dream that’s been growing inside of you, it can be difficult to let go of the contingency plans.

When I met Christina Risse, she had done what most of us are too fearful to do - she said goodbye to a very successful corporate career to live her dream of being an artist, even though she wasn’t sure if it would pay the bills or be what she hoped.

Today, Christina’s pieces are often sold before they’re finished, and her Düsseldorf atelier, filled with its natural light, helps inspire her as she prepares for her next gallery show.

In our conversations, Christina has reminded me of the necessity of being resolute in our decisions, so much so that we’re willing to burn the ships and not look back.

The beautiful floral piece she painted for me hangs in my office inspiring me to be resolutely courageous.

I’ve never been terribly clever with words, like how to be witty or abstract through metaphors and puns.

So, when I meet people who are, especially in smart, fun, and creative ways, I’m sincerely inspired!

Meet Sabrina Moyle - an absolutely delightful human whose wit and clever puns are simply the best!

Sabrina brings laughter through her fun and adventurous tales, which her sister masterfully illustrates.

Sabrina inspires me to find creativity within myself and bring it to life.

In this era of clamoring for attention, the women who inspire me most are those who are truly focused on others and not on themselves.

Stasi Eldredge is one of those women.

For the 12 years that I have been acquainted with her, I’ve seen her fiercely fighting for women - helping us to embrace ourselves with all our wounds and heal through the love of our Creator,.

Stasi inspires me to live a humble and selfless life where loving, supporting, championing, affirming, encouraging, and celebrating other women makes me happier than being on the world’s biggest stage ever could.

Your Mission Today:
