Would You Read A Leadership Book Written By A Woman?
A literary agent recently said to me,
“publishers have a hard time selling leadership books, especially ones written by women.”
This statement caught me by surprise for quite a few reasons, but mostly because one of the comments I've heard the most from the women I've coached over the last 10 years, is how much they want to hear women's insights about leadership – women who have been where they've been and speak from a place of understanding and lived experience.
So, of course, I'm super curious about this, and would love your answer:
Would you read a book about leadership written by a woman?
In December I told you that I am writing a book.
And in that announcement, I promised I'd keep you updated on my progress.
I'm excited to say that I have finished the research phase!
I read 25 books (pictured above), refined the purpose of my book, and outlined the chapters based on a solid foundation of wisdom from women and men with varying experiences and backgrounds: business owners, speakers, podcasters, former corporate executives, pastors, professors, teachers, influencers, working moms, and therapists.
So, it's on to writing!
The part I'm more nervous about.
Please keep me accountable and respond back with your answer to my question (cause you know I'll be asking you to buy my book soon).
May you cultivate a life filled with confidence, courage, and joy!
